Arrow Partnership

NovTech and Arrow partnership spans design services, training and distribution of NovTech off-the-shelf boards.

NovTech is a certified member of the Arrow Consulting Engineering Services (ACES) program. Through this program, NovTech helped dozens of Arrow customers by providing training, hardware and firmware design support, and turn-key solutions. NovTech also trained Arrow FAEs on various aspects of SoC design, Arm® architecture, security and power management. In addition, Arrow selected NovTech to design and prototype the i.MX7 board for the 96boards.org community.

Off-the-Shelf Offerings

Arrow Electronics is an authorized distributor for NovTech off-the-shelf boards and SoM offerings. Customers can purchase Platform Evaluation Kits through Arrow’s website. Local Arrow sales representatives should be contacted for pricing and availability.

Design Services

Services provided by NovTech include:

  • Hardware Design Services include system level design and architecture definition, PCB design and layout, schematics review and translation, documentation, prototype, production and complete turn-key solution.
  • Software and firmware design services include BSPs for Linux, Android, Windows 10 IoT Core, QNX and VxWorks, digital logic design, device drivers, connectivity protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Cellular, power supply design, high-speed memory interface design, and implementing security in hardware and software.
  • Testing and certification services include functional testing, development of manufacturing test suites and pre-scans for EMI, heat, shock and vibration.

Training

NovTech is Arrow’s preferred training partner for a variety of customer and internal trainings. Topics covered include:

  • Deep dive on Arm architectures, NXP i.MX series portfolio and Intel Cyclone V FPGAs
  • Implementing security in Arm based processors with Trust Architecture
  • Implementing High-Speed DDR memory interfaces
  • Designing optimal power management solutions for multi-rail FPGAs and SoCs
  • Coding with VHDL and Verilog
