Opus/Museum Guide

Opus is a compact and rugged screen-based player intended primarily for use as an electronic guide at museums and similar venues. This easy to use player provides guests and visitors with a variety of digital resources, including video, images, animation and audio. Opus uses a high performance ARM (Freescale i.MX31) processor to provide superior high resolution graphic images, digital movies, and crystal clear audio. A range of peripherals, including infrared and RF communication devices, allows Opus to interact with the vistor's actions and movements and synchronize its content with the visitor's location.

NOVPEK Tablet

The NovTech tablet is a fully featured tablet PC resulting from a collaboration with SurfaceInk. At the core of the NOVPEK tablet is the Freescale i.MX51 processor, making this project yet another example of how NovTech engineers are the i.MX and ARM solution experts. The i.MX51 is complemented by 512MB of DDR RAM and an 8GB MicroSD harddrive. The NOVPEK tablet features an astounding set of peripherals, including dual (front and rear facing) cameras, HDMI out, an accelerometer and light sensor, Bluetooth, and 802.11/Wi-Fi all in an full aluminum enclosure.

Medical Monitoring Device

This highly integrated medical monitoring device puts the tools physicians and health care professionals need right at their fingertips. The product features a powerhouse Intel ARM processor along with many medically petinent sensors and interfaces, including those to measure and analyze blood glucose levels, blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, lung volume and repiration characteristics. This unified solution allows health care workers to more efficiently administer treatment to their patients.

2D/3D Display

The NovTech 2D to 3D conversion board is an add-on module for the popular NovPEK platform evaluation kit, driven by the powerful Freescale i.MX51 processor. The 2D to 3D conversion board, using the Dialog Semiconductor DA8223, converts two dimensional images and video and displays them in 3D on an 800x480 parallax barrier screen. This module contains a built in camera to display images in real-time as well as all of the standard photo/video display tools available for Ubuntu Linux, the NovPEK's primary operating system. The result is stunning 3D graphics and an excellent demonstration of the NovPEK i.MX51's capabilities.

ArmorPlus

The ArmorPlus is a ruggedized interface module for 7700 series BlackBerry personal data assistants (PDA) to serve the auditing industry. The ArmorPlus is driven by an ARM9 (Freescale i.MX21) processor. The interface board features many peripherals useful to auditors, but not natively available in BlackBerry devices, such as Bluetooth, a barcode scanner, and multiple USB ports. This extended functionality makes auditing and calculating inventory in supermarkets, warehouses and elsewhere significantly easier.

Marine Power Controller

Many boats, like most modern transportation machines, have complex power needs. This marine power controller subverts the usual problems of power management and distribution through the use of its sophisticated Freescale ARM11 i.MX31 processor. The processor communicates with remote nodes over both CAN and LIN buses to effectively control the varied power requirments in a marine environment. Complete with USB connectivity, this marine power controller is the ultimate power solution for all boats.
